1. About StockCount
StockCount helps you record and count physical inventory by location, including shelves, bins, cupboards, rooms, vehicles, kits, tools, and small stockrooms. This policy applies to the StockCount iPhone app and this public website.
2. Inventory stored on your iPhone
StockCount does not require a StockCount account and does not operate a custom backend database for your inventory. Inventory records, location names, quantities, minimum levels, notes, photos, saved barcode or QR values, count history, and app settings are stored in the app's local storage on your iPhone.
StockCount does not use iCloud sync or a StockCount cloud workspace for this data. The app does not send your inventory to a StockCount server.
3. Camera scanning
If you grant camera permission, StockCount uses the iPhone camera to scan item barcodes, item QR codes, and StockCount location labels. Camera access is used for scanning while the scanner is open. The app does not upload camera frames or use the camera for advertising or analytics. Manual entry remains available without camera access.
4. Backups, exports, reports, and labels
StockCount can create full backup packages, CSV exports, inventory and count reports, and printable QR or barcode labels. These files leave the app only when you choose to save, export, print, or share them.
When you choose a location such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or another Files provider, that provider handles the saved file under its own terms and privacy policy. StockCount does not receive a copy through its own server.
5. Low-stock notifications
If you enable low-stock notifications, StockCount schedules local notifications through Apple's UserNotifications framework. A notification can contain an item name, location name, and quantity so the alert is useful. The notification is scheduled on your device; StockCount does not send this information through a notification server.
6. StockCount Pro purchases
StockCount Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. StockCount uses Apple's StoreKit framework to receive and verify subscription status. StockCount does not receive your full payment card details.
7. Information StockCount does not collect
StockCount does not ask you to sign in and does not use custom analytics, advertising trackers, marketing pixels, or an online product database. It does not perform online UPC or product lookup. StockCount does not sell personal information.
8. Website information
This website is hosted and delivered using standard web infrastructure. Hosting and delivery services may process basic request information, such as an IP address, device or browser details, and timestamps, to deliver content and protect the site. The StockCount website does not add analytics, advertising trackers, marketing pixels, or a contact form for its own use.
9. Services involved
Information is shared only as needed to provide the feature you use: Apple and iOS services for camera permission, local notifications, and App Store purchases; a Files provider you select for a saved export or backup; and website hosting and delivery services for this public page.
10. Retention and your choices
Your inventory remains in the app until you edit or delete it, delete the app, or clear its storage. A backup or export remains wherever you chose to save or share it until you remove it there. You can manage camera and notification permissions in iOS Settings, manage subscriptions through your Apple Account, and delete local records through StockCount's archive and deletion controls.
Apple retains purchase and subscription records under Apple's own policies. Any support correspondence you choose to send is handled through the communication channel you use and retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain support records.
11. Children's privacy
StockCount is a general-purpose inventory utility and is not directed to children under 13. StockCount does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when StockCount's features, services, or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated.

For privacy questions, email hello@remylo.app. This address also handles StockCount support. The app does not provide an account portal or a StockCount-hosted data request system because inventory is stored locally on your iPhone.
